If under 14 thats the same speed as a SRT4, Cobalt SS, Mazda Speed 3, approximately the same as a WRX and EVO also.. Sounds like power problem solved. In fact I would think that most people would not want them to make a more powerful version because than our cars would be the "weaker" version and the price would decline further. Also, if they stop making them it will become more desired. Take Pontiac GTO produced for a couple years and now the prices dont seem to drop further than 22k for a 2005 or 2006 version! |

By the way, I tried looking up a video of the Milltek resonated exhaust. Deeper sounding than I was expecting!

This works well as long as the grocery getter driver isn't looking in his rearview mirror. If he/she is and sees you initiating your maneuver he can simply accelerate and drive away. |

Lot of good arguments on both sides. As always, very entertaining reading here.
I am 57, traded my fully modded STU STI for the BRZ. With the STI I was always looking for better handling. Yes,more power is nice. The BRZ, put some sticky rubber on it and it out handles the STI. My opinion. But I also had a love/ hate relationship with Fiat X1/9's. Those cars lived at 7000rpm all day long. Again need more power. Subaru had a lot of waranty issue with the STI, UEL header issues, where cylinder 2&4 would always run hot. Throw in a ring land manufacturing defect equals blown engine. Now we demos the car, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Opps. Now we demod the car, take it to dealer for a new free motor on warranty. Subaru will try to deny the claim, blah blah blah and on. See the point
The BRZ is a VERY good platform for modding. But more power is needed. So you FI it. Guess what, no arguments that the motor is modded. No warranty fights either. I have the A/T. My last autocross I found that the ECU had learned my driving style and provided me with more torque. No longer had to shift into first for 180's. Launches were great. This car has it. It needs to be worked like an S2000 that can rev up to 9000 rpm. How well was that rev level received initially. People bitched. If you want a muscle car buy one. If you want a SPORTS CAR buy this or a Ferrari. Rant done Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
