I was trying to think of something like that to say, but was too distracted. I was gonna say, "That Luxury Status, tho!" haha

"I'm so rich I have someone else mod my car and drive around FOR me." :like a sir:

No no. Ballers have DCTs! "I'm so rich my gears shift themselves with the utmost speed to ensure my track times are tenths quicker than yours, plebeian!"

But most importantly does it get in the way pulling the boot when you're going sideways! =P

The phone sits just in front of the end of the e-brake. No overlap. Still works as intended .

Dude, shift your own gears??? That shit takes work! I don't have time for that! . All kidding aside, yeah I went with AT over MT because its a daily. I prefer not to sit in shitty LA traffic with a MT. It also makes it convenient if other family members, gf, etc. need to drive the car. Thankfully the AT gearbox is quite great (and I DID have a DCT before OMAHGAWD!) and I don't feel bad having one when guys like Moto and Dai Yoshihara have ATs . I may regret the decision later though as I'm looking into getting an 08 Forester XT to become my daily and relegate the BRZ to a weekend car. At that point I'll probably kick myself for not having a manual.

I bought my AT for all those same reasons -- especially because I was getting married at the time and my wife is already a terrible driver. We would only have the BRZ for about six months. I'm regretting my decision once I bought my wife a car about a month ago, but it was a godsend in those first six months.

I totally understand. I almost got an AT, but I realized that Anchorage isn't THAT bad. Last night I let three young friends drift my car in a high school parking lot. Two are new to driving manual and one is a little more experienced. There was a 16-year-old guy, his 18-year-old sister (grrrr baby) and their 24-year-old aunt (more grrrrr baby). They had a BLAST! And they didn't even burn clutch!

Today I received some JDM goodies that I'll post up in other threads. Sorry for the Instagram pics.
