Anywho.. The g/f said she's up for some wings so I'm in. I'll leave the DSLR at home this time.
Indeed, Funny how blowing a fresh motor on the 944 on your first qual day with a makes you buy a E30 so fast lol. That transaction alone kept me to stick with HPDE. PRO44/PRO3/etc is a little spendy for me for now.

$27k for Spec E46? not bad really, some dudes are spending close to that on E30s for Pro3 around here.

Also, I might not make the meet.

My roommate is out of town and my poor doggy will need to go out before I head down there, depending on when I leave work, the traffic and such... It might not be worth going after tending to the dog.

Are you actually interested in w2w racing? Pro3 doesn't have to be expensive. It can be quite affordable, however it will never be as affordable as racing in Improved Touring, Honda Challenge or Spec Miata. If you race but don't want to own you can rent.

If you make it tonight we'll chat.

I was planning on buying the PRO44 car that Mike and Josh co-owned, but after a very expensive break-up (long story) and some other endeavors in life, I'm just fine with HPDE. I like my car to be a street car that is occasionally track driven, it'll be finished by end of this year with all the things I want done to it - I'll probably do a day at the end of the season or just start next season. I don't plan on W2W in the immediate future, maybe 3-4 years from now - we'll see.

I hear ya. Relationships have a way of interrupting some of the best made plans.
If I am able to field a car for Pro3 it will certainly take all my resources. HPDE and Autocross would also be fun. I figure if I have gotten thru paying for two four-year college degrees simultaneously for my daughters I might be able to afford a season of racing. If I need to I can always sell some of my other toys.
It's easy managing money when you're single
