Virginia has VIR, and it's close to plenty of good driving roads, Blue Ridge Parkway, etc.

Much the same for North Carolina, VIR is literally just across the border, plus Charlotte/Concord/Mooresville (aka Race City USA) is about 2 hours from VIR, and home to over 60 race teams (NASCAR, ALMS, NHRA, and more), plus many race parts companies have branches here, (Brembo, Hotchkis East, CV Products, and more). Tail of the Dragon, Devil's Whip, Diamondback, and other roads are a couple hour west. Charlotte Motor Speedway, Kershaw race track is just across the border in SC

Could always have the event in Ocean City, MD. Thats where they have the big H2o International VW show.

Just another idea. Although I'm not sure where to setup autocross event.

EDIT: But they do have a small Casino! lol and its a big vacation stop...beaches, boardwalk with rides, go-karts etc.

to me it wouldn't feel as special since it would be in my backyard, but there are some good reasons to have it in NJ.

the VIR and ATL locations sound the best to me.

1. Track day at the NJMP

2. Subaru HQ is in NJ

3. The Wildwood boardwalk I believe is one of the largest boardwalks on the east coast and is very well known for its annual car shows on the boardwalk.

4.
+1 for NJ.

NJMP also has outdoor karting.

We also have a huge smoothly paved lot for autox at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands. SCCA uses it to host their Pro Solo events.

Others have said but I will add my $0.02.

Pros:
Ease of access: Interstates converge here. You can fly here non-stop from just about anywhere in the US.

Accommodations: Many hotels of varying costs.
Night life: just about anything you want.

Atlanta motor sport park, road Atlanta, many really fun mountain roads, not just the dragon.

Cons:

Traffic: it can be abysmal even on weekends in the city.
Distance: it can be a bit far for the North Easterners.
The mountains are about an hours drive from central Atlanta. More if the traffic is bad.

Amp would be cool! No sanctioned races to have to work around, and make it easier to schedule!
