Is the quality much better? And if I can grab some stock front struts then that is probably the route I'll take but if it's for quality I'll spend the money. But inserts aren't exactly the way I want to go

Once a year Koni does a big sale. I can't remember exactly but I think I paid less than $800 for my Koni's and RCE Tarmac Springs including the front struts I bought used.
The sale I believe started later in Feb or maybe March. |

You also have high stuff like MCS. They are coilovers that you can purchase a kit for that will make them CS legal, for autocross.
But pricey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

i upgraded my strut bar in front and rear and upgraded my tires. this put me into STX just from the strut bar as far as I was told. So since im already in the class and want a chance, I want to do a few more things to the suspension to help out a bit.

This! The last thing you want to do is put on one mod that bumps you to a way more competitive class that will require spending lots more on suspension to keep up.

IMO, ditch the bar to get out of STX, or prepare to spend a lot more to stay competitive.

I probably have $1500 in suspension mods and my car is plenty competitive. I'm not really arguing with you but I interpret you saying that the car is not competitive in STX without $10,000 in overnight parts from japan. |

Sell your struts braces, they don’t even come close to yielding a performance benefit you could bank on at an autocross.
Get the best tires, get the right brake pads, and off you go. You may upgrade your front sway if you feel you need to. Coilovers require more attention. Not only are you gonna have to install them, but to take advantage you’ll need to corner balance the car. This is time and money and you’ll need to find the right race shop that actually knows what they’re doing to perform this. I don’t know how badly you want to be lowered, but if your serious about handling on a budget, then rest assured you’ve got a very powerful package in your hands as it is and you’re greatly mistaken.
