i noticed my coworkers 350z aftermarket exhaust a few days ago and the inside was still silver with no black at all

Silver is still not as dumb looking as it was after I'd cleaned the tip I was working on (the right) but left the other tip alone. Then it looks like you've got a fake dual-exit :P

I don't mind the conical insides actually. I do wish I could have the satin titanium tips instead of the shiny stainless ones, but I don't think they were available when I got my system and they cost something like $300, which seems like a lot of money to spend just to get less-shiny tips. I'd rather get motor mounts.

I wonder how much this system would cost if it were made entirely of titanium... that would save some serious weight!

I just meant no sugar in that mess to get sticky and nasty. A little easier to clean

I think the smoked ones look great if you have extra black bits on your car (like the STI kit).
I think they would look good on black if you want the stealth look. The clear ones look good too. Can't go wrong either way though.

Personally, I go for the contrast. Smoked on a light-colored car, clear on darker-colored cars. The headlights/DRLs have enough chrome/black to complement either route

Today was a good day for the BRZ!

- Took the car down to the shop to go back on the lift and have the midpipe reinstalled-- it hadn't been fully inserted into the axle-back portion of the exhaust, which had caused the exhaust to be pushed back and hang wrong, tapping against the rear subframe when the car went over bumps or sat nose-up on an incline. After some lubrication the pipe was persuaded to go together properly and now there are no more banging noises!

- Took the car out to meet a new friend! Met up with @NickGTI32 for a short buzz through the foothills and a fun chat. Unfortunately the roads were kind of clogged up since it was around five on a Friday, but it was a lot of fun anyway, and it was nice to meet another local 86 owner!

- After seeing Nick's extremely-sharp-looking SWP I was inspired to stop dragging my feet on the cosmetic upgrades I've been wanting... Tom's tails, shorty antenna, and LED interior / plate / door lights ordered from Evasive Motorsports and Diode Dynamics.

- Noticed that Evasive carry the Jackson Racing supercharger kit and that it has its CARB EO number now... I need to find a good job before I start that madness though.

Terrible day for my wallet, awesome day for my car Looking forward to receiving some packages soon!
