AT Second Gear Slipping

Normally, the torque converter locks up immediately when shifting into 2nd gear and above, but recently, when shifting into 2nd, it feels as if there is slippage first before the torque converter locks up, creating a pretty harsh jolt. Anyone else have this issue?

I haven't noticed anything so far, I'll try and pay more attention this afternoon and see if I notice something similar.

This. We were at 5 degrees F last week and the first few minutes felt horrible.

I'll have to try and pay attention to the weather, but being out in California, it hasn't been that cold.

nope. my 4 and 5 gap (basically back and forth between gears) can be annoying. I think my torque converter is the cause because I drop rpms at the very beginning of 4 or the rpms just hang around down low without climbing until it finally shifts up. That is the only issue with my car and it is quite livable even though it isn't perfect. Idk how to complain about it to the dealer if it technically drives just fine, just the feel is off at certain throttle pressures in that gear range.

I'm at about 20,250 miles on my AT, and i have noticed it feels a little rough when it's first turned on. I always let my car warm up for a minimum of 5 minutes on cold starts (even in the summer) before driving it, and i don't have any issues when i do or when its warmed up, weather has been around 70F here. I think its just normal this way.

Yeah, that's one of the things I've been noticing, more now in winter than before.

I have notice that mine slips in first on take off in the morning ... only once in a while and only when first started. I now have 2500 miles.

I have 20k as well. In SoCal. It's been around 40F here in the AM when I leave for work. I haven't noticed anything I could consider unusual.

Still the best torque converter AT i've ever driven.

Can anyone get this behavior on video?
