I can pitch in few hundred bucks lol
I was just thinking that if he kept that up he might find himself with a Part time Job.

I've seen and heard the same type things in my other hobby; Model Trains. But when the production models come out most of the issues that were brought out with the Prototype were corrected.

I admire any company that can not only come out with there Prototype Products in this arena and take the heat of a demanding public; it can definitely make the company and product lines the best they can be. Bravo FT-86 SpeedFactory.
I'll be waiting for the release of this and I'm sure many other of your Product Line.

That is not learning. Learning implies that something changes over time, that things get better over time.

I do not believe ECUs to learn. My understanding is that ECUs make adjustments for certain things. Not learn. Now show me some documentation that comes from an OEM manufacturer of ECUs that says they learn and I'd be interested. But ECUs, IMO, do not learn to a point where they can negate torque curves a 15ftlb defect.

You can call yourself whatever, but knowing engineering and computer science are completely different things.

Neither of which can exist without the other, so lets get back on topic, shall we.

Question: Why do you have to update the ECU for these UEL Headers? In my opinion the intake sensor and the sensor behind the cat tell the computer "hey buddy we can get more exhaust out of the engine, get more air and fuel in it" So the torque dip is away an you will receive a whole other engine in the car I thing.

but thats just me from germany, enjoying his GT86 every day!!

Btw. I WANT THIS HEADER!!!!!

In engineering you have to take computer science course to get your degree. You definition of adjustment is learning. It takes variable values and adjust them algorhythmically over time. How is taking something unknown and adjusting values to optimize not learning?

Back on topic - I don't possibly see how the ECU is going to "learn" and get rid of HP/TQ that this awesome header is going to give you. That was the original point of the discussion. and I don't think anyone should be concerned about that.

On topic - I agree, I was never trying to argue that those losses would be real. Very excited for this header.

So what is the Point now? Will this Header be some Kind of "Not Good" for the Engine/the ECU?

Or will it work?!
