My guess is yes. On the exterior I bet something is wrong with every single panel but the, roof whether it be from physical damage or heat damage from the fire. And who knows how off that body lines/frame is from factory spec now too seeing as you careened through lots of uneven terrain at high speed. I bet all 4 corners are damaged in some way or another. It will be close to totaled but ide really press for a new car regardless. It's just too fucked up. Glad you're ok though!

Push for it to get totaled. Surely, you don't want to keep it after those damages.

As you say, it will never "feel" the same.

My previous car was totaled a few months ago. The way my insurance did it was the repairs exceeding 75% of the car's value.

So the insurance company will cover an accident at the track? Just like if it were to have happend driving around on regular streets? I think I had seen on here, where a claim had been denied because driver was wearing a helmet.

He had HPDE insurance for that day, separate from his regular insurance.

What does Lockton Affinity do to the cars it was insuring? Can you buy it out for a few grand?
I guess it's totalled in terms of getting it back road-legal, but it might be an okay start for a dedicated track monster.

I suppose to give you all a better idea of the situation I should state that the insured value of the car is $30850. Since this was a track event policy I was able to insure the car's value + all modifications I have had done. Which in this case included the 3M clear bra ($850), Innovate supercharger ($3200), RevWorks UEL Header ($700), and Nameless over and down pipes ($400).

I'd be interested in hearing how that plays out. If the car is judged to be totaled, will they actually PAY you $30,850?

I don't know how extensive the fire damage is, but I certainly would not want that car back. I'm hoping they total it for you.

Let us know, won't you, please?

Good luck.

insurance will pay agreed value (30850) minus the deductible on the policy if it's totaled

The polls never lie! It's totaled

I should be having an indepth conversation with the insurance company today, but yes I should be receiving $30,850 minus the 15% deductible (really wish I'd spent the extra $40 for the 10% deductible! argh).

And then it's car shopping time again
