stiff stearing?

i got my car back from the shop. i had bumper damage. i asked for an alignment too. took them a whole month to get the parts and fix it up and during that time ive been driving a nissan altima. when i got back in my car it felt as if the steering was really stiff. turning the wheel requires a bit more effort compared to how i remembered. now, i'm not sure if they messed something up or that driving a nissan altima made me forget how stiff the steering actually was on my car...
but currently this doesn't feel normal... anyone have any insight?

I think this has more to do with you coming from the Altima.

I had the "joy" of driving my parents 06 Camry for a few days and was mind-blown at how loose the steering wheel felt.

FR-S has always steered tight from as far back as I can recall.

hmmmm........I suggest you go drive another FR-S, to make a comparison ....

Also, I suggest you check the front tires pressures.

Maybe jack up the whole front end, turn the steering wheel to see if you feel any binding.

Maybe check to see if power is making it to the electric assist in the steering column.
