Was gonna do that but I wouldn't be able to switch on the fly like I wanted because the tuner requested the program to be put on his laptop. I ordered BRZEdit and I'm having a popular subbie/evo tuner tune it. He said he wanted to try expanding to this platform and that he'd cut me a deal on a road tune since I would be his first one lol

Yeah, it looks like wheel horsepower. As for dynos, I've seen the twins on dynos around me post wheel horsepower as low as the 120 range. It's just a really low reading dyno. You wouldn't see it with the supercharger hit 280whp with the stock kit, that's all. It's easier to see how effective the force induction kit is when you look at the delta for power and torque.

Seeing that smog is still 4-5years away for most of us we when with the AVO kit. Just a bolt on kit and we when from 169whp to 240whp on only 5psi. We are working on how far we can push the stock system without supporting mods. I'm sure over the next few year most of the kits will be carb approved. I can say that no matter which kit the added power really wakes the car up

I already have my turbo and intercooler, just waiting on the manifold from FA20club. As far as smog goes, we still have 4 to 5 years of smog exempt so I'm not worried about it. When the time comes, I got a buddy that'll help me "pass" smog.

I dont want to speak for them but I am pretty sure works can make you anything you want, but I know they play it safe. if 350+ is your goal they can likely do it for ya.
I haven't seen anyone hit these #s on 91. Was it WMI? I haven't been up to WORKS in awhile but it didn't sound like they had much R&D time to make a full on kit soon. Are you dropping Laura's off for the intercooled CARB setup?

I just switched to E85 on Friday (350whp on 91), still working through the transition pains. Just bumped it up to 22psi today (tuned for 24 afaik), should be low 400s.
It's definitely stupid fast. Feels far faster than the '11 M3 I had before. But there are drivability trade-offs trying to DD a setup like mine (clutch, idle on 1000cc injectors) that you wouldn't have to make if you stayed at lower power levels. If I had to daily this car I probably wouldn't have gone this route.

like everyone said above, you wont have to deal with smog for 5-6 years.

but when that time comes, no turbo kit with a custom manifold will pass.

you can always upgrade to a aftermarket header and revert back to stock when smog is needed.

my car is currently running 220-230whp give or take on the stage0 WORKS turbo.

keep in mind that it's only on a conservative boost and tune for now

we plan to bump it up soon for stage 1 intercooled system

based on the graph you showed by Jackson Racing, they are using a dynapack. if you can see their baseline is above average. that's the reason they have a high final numbers as well.

Those are impressive numbers indeed for an all stock system, are they on e85? Hopefully works incorporates some sort of quick swap method on their stage 1+ kits lol I may take you guys' advice and say screw it for now. Then swap it out in 5 years with something CARB approved. Lots too think about lol

not sure what jackson is running in terms of fuel.

works stage1 is just adding an intercooler and a higher boost to stage0

so it's a quick swap/upgrade

Fuel in Cal li is not very good. That will be one of your factors on creating and sustaining your desired HP. Obviously, you've mentioned a remedy (E85) but it's not at every station.

I suggest asking those you have reached that milestone.

As for smog, you are years away from your first one. Enjoy it while you can. As long as you don't molest the car too much, keep the stock parts and deal with it then. Even some ecu tuners can flash you back to stock. There's also remedies to that when push comes to shove.

Man I like to miss type on my phone. I ment people are hittin higher numbers on 93. But nothin like that from works yet.
We hope to bring in her car after JR's. It looks like it will be at the start of the year.

I would love to go for a ride when u got time someday.
My act 6 puck clutch in my celica is decent for daily driving because I can slip it some. Hopefully an act for the frs will act the same.

When's the next (south bay) meet you'll be at ? I can't make this Fridays Dublin meet-up but I tend to go to most.

I would love someone to have the ACT locally so I could give it a try and see. I'm getting more used to the FX300 but it's just never going to be a smooth engagement compared to stock.
