GoPro Mount V2

Just put together V2 of the GoPro Mount inspired by @Scenic Driver. It now
+ Utilizes both seats for more stability
+ clears the rear seat when its folded down
+ Easily re-positioned when the seats are adjusted
+ The pole and middle arm can be rotated/adjusted to get creative angles , compensate in seat shifts when people sit in the seats, and compensate when one or both seats are adjusted.

Parts:
2x RAM-B-218-1U - 1/4 NPT female base with 1" Ball
2x RAM-B-201U-C - Long Double Socket Arm for 1" Ball
2x RAM-B-231U - Rail base with 1" Ball
1x RAM-B-149Z-GOP1U - Handlebar GoPro Mount kit
1x 1/4 NPT Pipe size Threaded Pipe
3/4" Black Heatshrink for aesthetics (optional)

The pipe size can be as long as you want, that depends on your needs. The pictures easily show how everything is put together

I just got my 2 new gopro black Hero3+ in the mail. So anxious to try these out. I now have both of these, and 2 contour hd cams for filming. So i can mount a total of 4 cameras for track days....thinking.. Will test them out and see what works best..
  • Interior wide
  • outside tow hook front
  • outside tow hook rear
  • outside angled side of car

In the end this might be to complicated and i just stick with 2 cameras, 1 in and 1 out...not really sure till i try them out.

I'm one that doesn't want to put a suction cup on tinted rear windows so I found that this location on the rear 3rd brake works well. Just using a bike helmet strap that I never use. No shake and depending on your field of view(wide, med, narrow) it comparable to having it on the passenger seat but without the shake.

My current Echo hatch has the rear view secured to the glass, my IS300 was the same (I think - can't verify) and I've never had a car where the rear view mirror dropped off its mounting on the windshield.

Why the question? Want to hang something off of it?

I mean this with no disrespect, but you have horrible habits with your hands. You started fine and then it seems like you just let go.

I've seen some threads where people had I believe the auto dimming mirror just fall off the windshield. Something to do with the screws holding the mount being to short.
