I'd really like to know if the hoses are leaking, or our temperatures are just high enough during the summer to constantly evaporate the mixture.
When this issue first came up in the forum I started watching my coolant like a hawk. I did not notice any appreciable change throughout summer. I don't know if its safe to inject some sort of bright colored dye into the fluid, but if it's safe that would help id any potential leaks. Also, if you're driving really hard in our summers with how hot the engine operates at, that could maybe cause some evaporation.

Yeah, I don't drive it too hard. Most of my driving during the week is all daily commuting. I started watching my coolant too after reading that thread. When I first checked it I was above low at cold. Then when I dropped below the low mark and could barely see it, I took action and added coolant. I'll see if I can pinpoint it this weekend. Gives me something to do. That and figure out how to fix the bumper gap from removing the bumper.

Was taking a left through 2 lanes of stopped traffic. They gave me a gap and so I cautiously was heading through when a lady a few cars down decided to gun around to get to the left hand turn lane when it hadn't started yet and when she was cutting back onto the right of the yellow barely clipped my bumper and store it in half. No more damage other than maybe a slightly compressed hood. Well see if it can be repaired to new appearance if not I'll have insurance slap a new one on. As far as I could see no engine damage.. *cross fingers*

What a bummer. How did how the fault work out from a police/insurance perspective?

Dude, that sucks. Although if the bumper is already off it'll be easier to install that front mount intercooler!

Hey Austin owners - I'm wondering if there is a "meet & greet" anywhere tonight. I'm a new FR-S owner and would like to hang out with like-minded auto lovers.

Cars & Coffee Leander = 1st Sunday

John Eagle Cars & Coffee (official one) at Oasis = 2nd Sunday

They cancelled the John Eagle one due to the monsoon we had last weekend and said, "see you next month!" on their FB page.
