Noobs Build Thread
Okay so sadly I don't have my FR-S YET, but since this section doesn't say it's limited to the FR-S/BR-Z I figured I'd post up my current car for anybody that appreciates all cars not just JDMs. This will double as my build thread for my FR-S when I get it as well.
Car: 2004.5 Jetta GLI Engine: 1.8t Transmission: 6 speed Mileage: 85,XXX Color: Platinum Grey Mods: -MaxPSI 3in catback exhaust (Recieved 2/24/2010, Installed 2/25/2010) -Rokkor coilovers (Recieved 10/07/2010, Installed 10/22/2010, 73k miles) -Spacers ECS Tuning 17.5mm Rears, H&R Sport 8mm Fronts (Installed 10/25/2010, 73k Miles) -FK adjustable swaybar endlinks (installed 02/10/2011) -Honda Elemant stubby antenna (Installed 10/24/11) -034 Motorsports PCV hose kit w/ CNC machined PCV check valve (Installed 11/16/11) -Gonzo Tuning stage 2 tune (Installed 11/03/11) -eBay cold air intake w/ XAS air filter (Installed ?) -Forge turbo inlet pipe (Installed ?) -22mm Ebiach front swaybar (installed ?) -R32 short shifter (Installed ?) -42 Draft Designs LED license plate lights (Installed ?) -Retrofits with dual turns & 50w 5000k HIDs installed (Installed 2/10/12) -NewSouth Performance boost/vacuum gauge w/ offest column pod (Installed 2/10/12) -ECS lightweight power steering/crank pulleys (Installed ?) -Full timing belt/water pump kit (Installed ?) -Amber fender repeaters (installed ?) -FK Badgeless grill (Unpainted/Unfilled notch) -42DD 3" catless downpipe (Installed 10/3/2012) -BFI Stage 1 dogbone mount inserts (Installed 10/2/2012) -Forge 004 BOV (Installed 10/4/2012) -BBS Center caps -Speedtech Boser hood extention -Hella Micro DE fog light kit w/ retrofitted 35w 3000k HIDs Some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Vid: (sorry for the explicit language) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnxVDMTTC6U"]My GLI - YouTube[/ame] A more detailed build thread can be found here if anyones interested. I plan on giving up this car for a Whiteout FR-S sometime later next year. I can't wait, it'll be a decent downgrade in power but I plan on going FI not too long afterwards so that will put me back up to where my Jetta is and it will be a lot more fun to drive. I can't wait!

Well the start of my build thread has begun. Just picked up my baby yesterday.
Firestorm red, came with TRD air filter, rear spoiler, paint protection package, bespoke audio, wheel locks and most important GAP insurance all for 26k. Had to compromise from whiteout but I didnt think id find another deal like this soon in cali. Also had 56 miles on the odo. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2

great build! can you measure the distance of your front lip to the ground, and maybe the side as well?
this is the exact lip kit and lowering spring combo i was thinking of

![]() So yeah it's pretty low, I've actually already cracked it cause I hit a big incline that I didn't see. Due to the lip going out a little wider than the bumper there's already a decent amount of stress on that paticular part so when I hit the ground it just snapped, ![]() Letting the plastic weld cure fully before I remove the masking tape I used to hold it together so we'll see how it looks when I take it off. I'd definitely recommend going with the pro kit unless you're comfortable driving a lowered car. the sides don't extend down as far as the lip, I don't even think the sides extend down farther than the rocker panels. Here's my backyard bodyshop fix for the lip

Newest mods, bought BRZEdit and gonna be tuning the car soon. I have a Beatsonic roof spoiler inbound and my newest mods include LED dome/license plate lights and Zerg Industries carbon fiber interior pieces. Here's pics of the carbon:

IDK I installed the lip and springs at the same time, I doubt you'd scrape unless you hit a dip hard enough to bottom out the struts though or tried going up something crazy steep.
