Why is cutting the bar an issue? Surely if you round off the sharp edges it'll be ok...

ROFL You can't touch your crash bars at all!!! Not having sharp edges being the issue but touching something that is so critical to its precious ANCAP/Safety rating is what makes it illegal.
By the look of how that thing is cut, you have now made it crumple in a away it was not designed too.

I guess with the washer bottle delete would it completely remove it... could you put a smaller one in its place?.. I guess that would be an option.
