@whataboutbob drove up from San Diego @Moto-P, @shinjiro n and their group started at the Toyota Museum in Torrance Myself, @Fish and @Prava drove up from SFV We all met up in Mojave at around 10 am taking the 405 to 14 for breakfast, fuel and pics. There was a really cool moment when the plane that transports space ship one flew overhead. From there we headed out to Bishop 14 to 395 with a quick pit stop in Lone Pine to check out the History of Western movies museum ($5 for nice museum with a lot of history). We checked in at Bishop and the main group had dinner we waited for the final member of our group @Trojan_SC to arrive (he left after 5pm so he had the most traffic heading up) before going to bed. We discussed the FR-S and other car related things while we waited. Best conversation involved explaining how awesome the Mazda 787b is and the amazing noises it makes. The next day we headed up to Convict Lake, and Mammoth and to look for a fishing spot. Another awe inspiring moment happened when we saw a bald eagle above us at our first stop at Convict Lake. It was really nice seeing almost every color FR-S being represented cruising the lakes in the Mammoth area. Only problem was that a lot of us forgot to read our weather report so we went up in shorts (btw - that was the day it snowed). After coming down from Mammoth we had an awesome lunch at Erick Shaats Bakkery. We spent the afternoon fishing at intake 2 where I nabbed me a "biggun" and we left just as it started hailing/snowing. The following day was departure back down the 395 with stops at the Mt. Whitney Fishery and at Manzanar. We all got back to Mojave where we parted ways making our way back home. Hopefully we can bring a few more cars on the next Tour. TL;DR: Friday: 14-395 to Bishop Saturday: Bishop to Mammoth Sunday: 395-14 to Mojave |

Anyone know who the owner of the white FR-S is? I seriously like those wheels but have no clue what they are. Trip looks like a damn fun time! |
