I wonder if traction control has anything to do with it.

When I tried out the Torque app, it indicated the throttle being at around 80% max even though my foot was smashing the floor... related?

just to clarify. What I meant with bogging was when your in lets say 3rd and accelerating at 3/4 throttle then push the throttle to the floor, the car feels to accelerate slower. Its still accelerating, but not as fast as 3/4 throttle.

I don't see why bigger engines w/ more mass and frictional losses wouldn't be worse by that logic.

And yes, I noticed the part throttle effect during the gentle part of my break-in cycle. Was wondering if it was only in my head, guess not.
how old are we talking? carb or cable throttle

I’ve been running an ecutek tune for a good while now and I only just noticed that in between 1-2k rpm if i put my foot all the way down, the car struggles to accelerate. Cant be torque dip as it’s been tuned to remove it. Really weird as in 6th gear it actually slows down when my foot is all the way down. Please help

Stay out of the 1-2K range when not in first gear.

Putting your foot down hard under 2k rpm in a high gear puts extreme stress on the bottom end. That’s the vibrations you’re feeling. It’s not meant to accelerate in that regime, it can severely shorten the life of the bottom end.

Even if you had a big inline 6 or V8, piston engines don’t like high torque under a certain rpm.
