Just placed a deposit for a BRZ

Hi everyone I have been reading the forum for awhile. Now posting!

I've never had a new car and I have been driving my 95 Toyota Camry since college and have been responsible with money buying a house before a car. But I am still single no kids; why the Camry.

Why not get something fun, enjoy life and the fruits of hard work while I still can. So test drove a WRB BRZ yesterday and I was smiling the way home. I put a down payment on a BRZ at dealership in different state because all the dealerships here wont budge on price. So leaving in 2 days on a Jet plane and coming back with a WRB BRZ Limited! I had to justify the limited because it was the adult package

I'm keeping the Camry as well.

soon to be new owner

hi all! new here....
Just ordered my '14 BRZ Ltd 6MT SWP!!!

been lurking for a little bit for info gathering - this forum is a *fantastic* resource for owners, potential owners! Thanks to everyone for the contributions, and sharing your experiences!

longer story of my brz quest:
Here's the way it went for me - I didn't really *need* another car.... but I first saw an frs at a parking lot in sep'12 and loved the looks! So I checked out the articles and early reviews and wanted to see more. Then I went to see the frs/brz at the big auto show last thxgving in SF - long lines around them, waiting to sit in the cars.
At the show, brz was only premium, ltd not available, and frs wasn't very well appointed, so I was somewhat disappointed at the interior and it felt like it might actually hurt my back for me to stoop into everyday (I was waaay out of shape at the time, better now).
I still had the bug, so I went to the local subaru dealer in dec'12. of course, there were no demos avail and i was just allowed to look at their already sold one on the lot. i was told that i could order with a 6mo waiting time. no thanks. (he suggested that I go to the scion dealer, but I'm an older spoiled dude and wanted some of those Ltd amenities...)

Ok, so I lost the impulse and have been riding a bicycle and motorbike most of the summer, driving my suv when necessary.
Fast fwd to last month - i drove my gf to the suburu dealer to pick up her outbk from service, wandered over and sat inside the BRZ Ltd 6MT in the showroom. sales mgr came over and asked if i wanted to go for a test drive and I said why not!
I had no intention of buying, let alone test-driving that car, but once I drove it, it was all over but the buying.... it was a *fantastic* driving car.

Ordered from Clint in CO, great experience so far! (Local NorCal dealers wanted 1K-2K over MSRP for SWP color)
Thanks to all the CO->CA buyers for the info, experiences, advice!

Best. Color. Ever! Ok maybe I'm a little biased, it looks great in all the colors (WRB is just a little better though)

Hey guys, new BRZ owner here. I've always had fun sporty cars, and my 94' Stealth R/T Luxury was starting to become more of an endless money pit, so I figured it might be time to own something that's NOT old enough to buy cigarettes. While searching around for a certified RX-8 (because I'm a glutton for punishment) I met the BRZ and I fell in love as soon as I saw Galaxy Blue Silica!! All of my cars have been in the same type of blue spectrum (with the exception of my light blue Wrangler, but that doesn't count...)
Anyhow, some girls have kids, some girls have designer cloths, I have cars, dogs, a badass wrangler and a motorcycle. Can't go wrong there!

This is my first NEW car, so I'm excited to see how it holds up over time. I love it! The basic interior and real clutch are an added bonus. The big selling point for me with the BRZ was just that. These days there is just too much technology in cars and I don't need it. I want a keyed ignition, and a plain old basic interior with no bells and whistles. Granted, it still has technology in it, but it's definitely not over-the-top. I think with the direction that automobiles are going these days, the BRZ/FRS/86 may be one of the last of it's kind regarding just plain basic cars. All the more reason to own one! Plus GBS is an excellent color!

Hello to my fellow owners and club members!!

Hello everyone, Just reserved my White 2014 BRZ with Clint. Will be moving to Parris Island, South Carolina. Already have money set aside for toms tail lights, shark antenna.

Howdy from Houston! I got my Lightning Red AT Premium BRZ on Saturday and I'm still amazed at how fun it is to drive it around town. I'm not sure if I want to mar the beauty of the car with aftermarket accessories, though.

Hello from Philly

Been browsing the forums for a few weeks now. Picked my WRB BRZ up on the 21st & have been driving it a little every day (I was taught stick the day before I picked it up, thanks to a friend who let me learn on his imprezza, so I'm still working out a few kinks) Got my weathertech mats yesterday & drove it to work for the first time today, so we'll see if anyone says anything.

Hello,

Long time forum lurker, first time poster.
Put in my deposit of Clint E. of Heuberger Motors a month ago.
(I wouldn't want to do business with anyone else after meeting this guy. He's awesome!)
I will (hopefully) soon be a owner of a '14 DGM Limited BRZ (M/T of course)

Hello! I've had my WRB baby since last August. 15000 miles in, I still can't think of anything that would make this car more fun

Here's a picture of her at Mulholland

Howdy from the great Pacific NorthWet!

About a month ago I picked up my Lightning Red BRZ Limited. I was going back and forth between WRB and Lightning Red, but because my last two cars have been blue I went with the red for something different. This is the latest in a long line of sport/sporty coupes & convertibles that I've owned. To be honest, I kept waiting for Mazda to get their collective heads out of their collective butts and come out with a fourth-gen Miata, but when they still didn't do it for 2014 I had to go a different route and really the BRZ is, in my opinion, the only option in the small, light, great handling, front-engine/rear-drive category.

Just for the sake of history, here's my progression. Some of these cars I owned concurrently with others. During this period I've also had several motorcycles.

1971 Ford Torino
1972 Dodge Charger
1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
1989 Toyota Supra Turbo
1995 Lexus SC400
2001 Mazda Miata
2002 Honda S2000 (second car to 2001 Miata)
2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata
1998 Chevrolet Corvette (second car to 2006 Miata)
2003 Chevrolet Corvette (second car to 2006 Miata)
1993 Nissan 300zx (second car to 2006 Miata)
2008 Infiniti G37S
2008 BMW 650i
2013 Subaru BRZ

And yes, I'm old. I'll be turning 52 next week. But that doesn't stop me from acting like a kid.
