Yes, that is correct. This service is for those who aren't local and wish to do custom tuning via email. We will start accepting e-tune services as soon as datalogging is enabled in the tablet (working on that right now). Of course, with our open, free and well-sorted OTS maps, the need for custom tuning isn't as severe as it is with other tuning options. So I wouldn't necessarily jump on that service unless you really believe the OTS map isn't doing its job. I would feel bad collecting $195 for you if all I need to do is confirm that the OTS map is good and make no positive changes.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'm looking to do a lot of HPDE's once I pick a tuning solution (worried about DI seals).

I could purchase that at a later date? I think I'd want the custom dyno tune for sure as I'd drive for that after I get more supporting mods done.

I think this is a really good deal. The way I look at it is you've obviously shown you're a good tuner and I have access to the ECU ROM. Sounds a lot more appealing than Ecutek encrypting my entire ECU ROM.

Hi,
Yes, you can purchase the E-tuning support service at a later date. You don't necessarily have to purchase it with the OpenFlash tablet. But if it's custom dyno tuning you are looking for, I recommend taking that money you would have given to us and give it to a local and competent dyno tuner as he would be better equipped to tune your car than anyone else (even Shiv) trying to do the same thing remotely. Our software is easy to use and there will be a tutorial released for tuners who want to start tuning the FA20 with the free tuning software (available on our website).

In comparison, the Ecutek business model (which we were once a very big part of) is all about locking in customers to an individual shop. This is why Ecutek tuners don't give out any tuning information to the public and try to do everything themselves. The price fixing (enforced by Ecutek themselves) also why Ecutek tuners try to roll in added value into their offerings (free custom tuning, e-tuning, etc,.). Unfortunately, e-tuning isn't nearly as good as actual first-person dyno tuning. And with the OpenFlash Tablet method, we open the tuning software (and maps) to anyone including independent dyno tuners/operators. It's just better for the customer in every way. More options, lower price and better results.

I gotta say the guys at vishnu are more than willing to get you sorted and help if they can.
I had a few beverages before flashing my car, got an error code( beverage related possibly ) and shiv was cool enough to give me a phone call to help sort it out.
Thanks again @shiv@vishnu

Does OFT allow you to disable the O2 CEL if you're running a header?

I have no idea if this is possible...

Can you change what sport mode is like on autos? I get this from watching too many Porsche videos...they have sport then sport plus. Would it be possible to tune sport to keep rpms above 4K in sport mode?

Thanks

I found just disabling that DTC wasn't enough to stop it getting triggered.

Unfortunately, changing 6at shift behavior will require remapping of the TCU (transmission control unit), not ECU. Which is currently beyond the scope of the OpenFlash project. Can't say what will happen in the future but for now, it's not on the table.

We are currently in the process of sourcing a supercharger for map development. I don't know which one in particular just yet though. But even if we don't have a map available immediately, I'm sure others will beat us to the punch and be nice enough to post up their Openflash ROM.

How are the options for E85 and FlexFuel looking? I really want flex fuel (but wouldn't have much issue with an e85/93 map) and think the kit from @FA20Club.com would be fantastic for monitoring and such.

Would it be worth getting a custom tune for 98 RON (Australian) and an AFE Intake + Perrin headerback?

or is there a standard tune that would be suitable for this setup?
