North West Italy thunderstorm

My Scoobyblue was totally "golfed" ....during saturday hailstorm....now on repair by NeroCorsa Ferrari...

Here the commercial of my Ferrari Challenge Team friends... this morning Insurance controller give full OK to refunds with no fees (only 2 months..) and they start tomorrow damage repairs with my help to remove damaged parts.
Only about parts damages we are speaking about near Eur 2,000.00 , not included adding job that is much more more and more.....

Sorry for Italian....but soon will be available english version for international customers....

Ouch. That sucks horribly. I got t-boned last month in the passenger door on mine. Close to 15,000 US for repairs. Pretty awesome insurance company in your case. I'd still have to pay my deductible.

I know....I know...change of complete hood,trunk lid complete, front fender left ,door mirror unit right, cover cap of mirror RH and LH, rear tail light led JDM and re-painting.
Here we discover that italian prices are higher than in Germany of about +30%.
Insurance controller released approval for a worth of about 160 hrs and Eur 3,800.00 of spare parts. About 14,500.00 Euro....
My fee is only Eur 100.00
Thanks to German Allianz Insurance company.....very good!
On progress the first picture:

It was as an hurricane, 5 minutes and it seems midnight (5 pm)...I've never seen an hailstorm of this range in Italy in the latest years. About a while I was afraid to be in Florida....or Thailand.

Feeling your pain, brother. My car just went in for hail repair, though not as extensive as yours. Hooray for car insurance, right?

However, I have to ask about this picture:

Was your car trying to camoflage itself from the hail?

ahahahaah this pic after 5 mins trying to "escape" from trees.....It seems a Kosovo combat zone...
I am still waiting...as here in Italy Subaru ....let me wait about 3 weeks about fender LH, roof and trunk.....I hope to drive again early in October...
Mirror RH and rear tail lights always here from Japan...
You are very lucky in US...Subaru is a great brand. In Italy there are only 23 BRZ on first semester of 2013.

Hi, I'll be in Milan next week. Any suggestion where I can buy quality parts for my Toyota 86? do they sell TRD there? Is it cheaper than in the US?

Hi Trustyler...., Milan is the wide business town in Italy but it's impossible to find some TRD parts as Toyota, in Italy especially, about GT86 (Scion FR-S) holds very little market share.
In Italy Toyota hasn't a TRD Dept like the german one, therefore some parts are coming from independent seller that import them from Japan or Germany and they sell usually on "sold pre-paid".
About prices some of us buy directly from USA due to USD/EUR ratio...here we have the higher VAT in Europe (21%!) and higher clearance custom duties (5%) or from Japanparts 'cause are more cheaper.

About GT86 and BRZ in Italy these models get:
(2012) #86 GT86 1st Edition (unsold about 10 pieces by dealers);
2012 plated: #not over 150 pieces GT86;
2013 plated for BRZ: 1st semester only #23

For us is impossible to buy aftermarket parts or JDM parts here, there isn't market. Mostly you can buy from independent seller but they do exactly those that you'll do by yourself.

About genuine spare parts we wait usually 2/3 weeks for BRZ.

IMHO..you could visit Germany, Bayern and Frankfurt rather Milan
