So what's the verdict on these ? I'd like to invest in a header, but have read nothing but negative feedback on these from the flanges to cracks

It seems people either really like them or have nothing to good to say about them. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground...

Borla was unable to deliver me a defect free header so I had to give up on them.

Three warranty replacements due to warped flanges is where I drew the line and spent my money elsewhere.

Glad I did since there have been weld failures and defects causing bad noises left and right

I'd say that there might be a 5% issue rate with the headers and thats including the old flang issue which is no longer a problem. We've sold a ton of these and VERY few ever have issues. With a lifetime warranty there should be no worries.

Please remember the forums always blow things way out of proportion. 4-5 people post a problem. The 300+ with no issues don't post a thing.

my over and mid front pipe are wrapped to keep heat off the tranny and steering rack... the sound on mine is still there.
i had no noise with the stock header on all the same exhaust parts.

It's not a pleasant sound.
I have this, pretty sure its due to the thin walls of the header.

I didn't have noise with the stock header/motiv over pipe/catless front pipe either. It sounds like it's coming from my front pipe. Under the hood it's only engine noise when revved. I think its just the noise/more exhaust flow making a resonance in the pipe. My Silverado did the same thing after I put on headers and catless down pipes...but wrap helped it some.

Yeah thinner walls of aftermarket exhaust components definitely add noise.

I am used to straight pipe turbo cars.... So this sound is really frustrating. I swear its a leak.
I am about to order a set of revworks.

I will have to say that despite the noise(which I guess I'll live with if not fixable) the exhaust note is eargasmic.

That would be what I go with if I can't deal with the noise.
