What the excessive movement does is mess with the balance wheel. Whipping a watch back and forth slows it down or speeds it up by adding or subtracting force that is greater than the spring is designed for. Or something...

I really want to do something about my car's drivetrain...a 2ZR-FE with new 6 speed would be an improvement as they lost 10 pounds off the 1ZZ, but the 88mm stroke is still rather big. The 1ZR-FE would be nice, 78mm stroke means at 9500rpm it'll have the same piston speed as the F20C. Also I want some Yokohama S drives but the tires on the back are pretty new... |

BTW, this is my newest: Seiko 6138 chronograph. Automatic with handwind, dual register. (Second hand isn't correct, though. Should be white.) The other one (6139) doesn't handwind, and only goes to 30minutes on the single register. Thing's as old as I am! As for the motor situation I would bet the rods and fasteners in the F20 are VASTLY superior to the 1ZR's. So don't count on the 9500rpm for long life.

I was bad. I was coming back from a delivery, and i got to mess around a bit with a modded wrx. Said he had headerback exhaust. It wasnt pretty. By 75 (5 over speed limit) i had him by a bus length.

Of course the rods are much weaker (6400rpm rev limit), that's why they get thrown out and replaced with titanium MMC when I win the lottery (though supposedly ceramic particle reinforcement is not all that complicated to do, you just mix powders together and sinter, just the machining is annoying since you're trying to machine stuff that even diamond has trouble getting through). Bearings should be okay though, bore spacing is the same as the 2ZR so the crank journals should be the same or similar, aka larger per unit displacement, though something probably should be done about the oil pump (maybe steal the one off the 2AR-FE and put it in somehow, it's variable displacement too!). |

Haha I thought Major League Tee Ball was a funny concept I came up with. If had thought of professional slow pitch softball, I would have still thought I came up with it. So no, I have never seen that, but it's now on the bucket list.

I feel ya. I played 5 hours of volleyball yesterday. Got a little sunburned and my back is aching a bit. Totally worth it though.
I forgot all about the final being played yesterday, at least they won. Nice. My boy picked up a new bike and recently fixed it up. He got a Ducati 1050 for a good price, since the original owner didn't know about a recall for the bike.
