Hey All, just got my Firestorm Red AT FR-S last weekend, what a fun fun car to drive! Had been going back and forth between getting a new Accord vs a FR-S to replace my 12 year old VW Passat (practicality vs fun) and fun won!! I can't wait to get past the 1000 mi break-in period, keeping it under 4K is killing me..... :P
This forum has been great reading, have been lurking on here reading up on tons of great stuff, and want to say thanks for all the info here and also the civility, quite unlike other forums i must say, really great bunch of people here!! |

Hey everybody!
I traded in my 04 WRX for my new Firestorm FR-S back in May. I haven't regretted the swap since. It really made me realized how much I missed driving a rear wheel drive car. I bought the manual version, since I know that I would fall asleep if I ever had to drive an automatic long distances. I've been lurking around this forum for some time, mainly for information on the car. I just moved to the Dallas Fort Worth area from Atlanta, so I hope I get to meet some fellow 86 drivers. |

Now, don't be doing any "money shifts" .... (that's where you are downshifting and you get into a lower gear than you were targeting). The rev limiter will just "save you" shifting ... up .... humfrz |

hey there,
im new here, my name is Chris and im from Montreal. I just bought a white FR-s with the trd exhaust and intake ( cant wait to see those parts in person XD). Im going to pick it up in 27 hours from now XDXD ( tomorrow at 3 haha). I traded my 2010 civic si for it even tough it pains me to sell my baby im quite sure the fr-s will be just as good if not better XD. I have no clue what ill end up doing with the FR-S, I used to lap with the civic and although I did want to do some modifications on it, it was mostly to adapt the car to the tracks I like to run while keeping it street drivable. I guess ill have to drive the FR-S for a little while before I can see what Id like to do ( other then changing the rims lol) |

Figured I should finally check in! Taking delivery this Saturday - flying out to CO from KS to see everyone's good friend Clint@Heuberger. Got a smoking deal on a 2013 BRZ Limited, Crystal Black Silica.
So far I've been really impressed with the community here! I used to do some track days and autocross and can't wait to get back to it. From another thread, here is a bit of history on myself: Quote:

New here
Hey all, been pokin around the forum for a while and thought I should make my first post and introduce myself. My name is Drew, if anyone is a member on Scionlife you might know me as x_batman_x. I have a black 1st gen tC with a Dezod turbo kit
I've had the tC for 5 years, its a ton of fun and plan on keeping it for a while longer but have been fawning over FRS for the past year. On monday I finally took one home. Its a 10 series, #165 and as much as I laughed at the glowing badges when revealed in the press photos, I gotta say I kind like em. As a package I am super happy with the car, the proximity touch to unlock might be my favorite thing :-P Been taking it real easy during for a proper break in so far, just passed 250 mi today. I can tell even from relaxed driving that the car is a blast and just begs to be pushed. Lookin forward to enjoying more of the great tech articles and build threads that got me on this forum in the first place! |
