This is going to be awesome! I can't wait until someone swaps a rotary in it. However someone IS going to swap an LS in it, and soon.

Makes me think how if I pull an iron block L6 2JZ out of a 53/47 weight Supra and putting in a built aluminum block L4 2AZ (tC) motor would move the Supra's split to ~50/50 static and knock off 200+ pounds in the process.
Then I think how the aluminum block, short H4 in this car already leads to a 55/45 static split. And think about adding 200+ lbs of ballast hanging way in front of the forward axles. Then I shudder.

No. Just no. That's going to screw the balance and weight distribution to hell. Carlos Lago predicted this. "Don't screw it up", he said. And there you have it, screwed up.

It actually looks like a large portion of the motor is behind the wheels. Love me some 2JZ.

yeah i also question how the driver is going to shift with the engine mounted so far back.. but it may just be the only way to clear the low hood.

While I love my 1JZ, I think it absolutely ruins the spirit of the 86 to do this swap. I think real drivers realize most of the potential lies hidden within the chassis of the car. If you want more power, supercharge the H-4, but don't screw up the COG and weight distribution with a ten year old lump.
