It means your car is in "waitlisted" status i.e. it hasn't been built yet. Good luck, mine has been that way since April 7

You may be lucky though. It's apparently random when you get your ETA or car. Someone ordered one last week on here and already has an ETA of August/September while I apparently have a "firm" October date from SoA. Not like they care about who ordered what car when anyway.

I ordered mine in March and I still have no VIN where someone ordered an Auto version recently and already has their VIN. I have no idea how SOA handles it but it really doesn't seem like it's first come, first served. What did you order? It also seems like certain colors are being processed before others.

I ordered a WRB Premium 6MT + fog lights on June 1st and it is supposed to be delivered by June 25th. I got a VIN right away. SOA said they had one in the states already when I checked a few days after the order.

The dealership mused that perhaps they're out of Limiteds on the docks right now.

VON stands for: Vehicle Order Number

Once the car is built you will see the VIN

As far as actually delivery it's all based on dealer allocations, allocations are the numbers of each model each particular dealer is getting for a determined amount of time. The BRZ allocation numbers have already been disclosed to each dealer for May 2012 through December 2012.

If the dealer you "ordered" from has already sold it's number of allocations (BRZ's), or isn't getting ANY BRZ's (some dealers aren't) then your order won't be filled until the next allocation is set (Jan 2013).

If your dealer seems to not have answers as to your order status, ask them how many BRZ's they had allocated to them...and how many have they received/sold.

I think even that is suspect. I walked into one of the larger PA dealers, asked if they couldn't get any more if they already filled their allocations and they told me that they'd talk to Subaru and get the allocation. I guess more successful/larger dealers have better pull in the distribution network?

Where did you get this from?

Currently they gave me an ETA of Aug - Oct...

I didn't have to order mine. Got a call from the dealership that the first one they had was in, I pulled the shrink wrap off of it, drove it, and bought it.
