Which trim level would you choose and why?

Which trim level would you buy for this car?

Series.Blue?
Limited/Monogram?
Basic/Premium?

and why? any pros and cons that one must keep in mind for each trim level?

I am thinking the following

Series.Blue - One would be a bit apprehensive to do some cosmetic modifications to the car. However car has great interior and exterior. Might think twice to take it to track. Great DD. COMFY.

Limited/Monogram - Great exterior/interior. Might think twice to take it to track. Great DD. COMFY. Cosmetic modification can be done since its not a special edition and you are not "ruining it".

Basic/Premium? - Great for track and doing all sorts of mods. However... Money pit, not comfy, not as good for DD.

Let me know of your thoughts and opinions. Thanks.

I went with the Series.Blue for exclusivity and resale. I also liked the contrast of the blue interior with the white exterior. Also, with military pricing it was a no-brainer step-up from a Limited. I REALLY wish we got a numbered badge like the 10 Series FR-S, but such is life. Once I get the clear bra done, I'd track it like any of the other twins. It's not THAT special. lol

I don't see how the Premium/Basic wouldn't be as comfy or as good as a DD. The seats are exactly the same. To be honest, I thought the Premium I was looking at was actually more comfortable because the seat material was a little more forgiving. Alcantara is easier to clean though.

Series blue because of subaru holds resale value better. Plus for the 2k over the limited price is the aero kit minus diffuser which you can get for 80bucks. Plus you get the update interior.

Like the previous guy said, the twins have soft paint, clear BRA it.

I went with a Premium BRZ for a few reasons. First the BRZ comes with HID head lights that the FRS doesn't have. Second a Premium BRZ lets you play the local Scion and Subaru dealers against each other pretty hard. I don't know why you would think the Premium isn't comfy, the cloth seats are pretty nice I don't really see the big deal about climate control or keyless start/entry. You are still going to get the same plastic interior no matter which trim level you buy. All the stock head units are pretty mediocre in my opinion. Leather and heated seats sound nice but it wasn't worth the extra $3k to me.

Premium looks best because no fogs or spoiler (cleaner looking). Limited (what I own) has more creature comforts, cool features, etc. I love the climate control and push button start. Series blue is alright, but I could not deal with all the blue stitching, BRZ embroidery on the seats, and I am not a fan of the body kit. Underbody panels are pretty cool though. You are going to pay a premium for the rareness too (not worth it IMO). I recommend the limited. Bottom line, they are all really awesome and you can't go wrong.

i went with series blue because the blue trim made the interior less boring and felt a little bit of exotic (only 1000 with blue trims!) . although mine is stock, it gets attention everywhere. although people might argue that they can mod the premium or limited. But in my experience, modding takes a lot of time and frustration (i.e shop for parts and looking for a good shop to install it) and most importantly, i can fiance it within my auto loan and the add on are covered under warranty or insurance.

When I bought mine, there was no Series.Blue.

I bought the Limited because, compared to the Premium, the head unit was better, the seat material was better, the climate controls were better and the keyless everything is really cool. I like never having to take my keys out of my pocket to open or start anything on the car a lot more than I thought I would. I also really like the wing on the Limited. The Premium's bare rear reminds me of the way a dog's ass looks when it tucks its tail between its legs and runs away yelping. The seat warmers were not a factor, but they might have been if I lived in a cold climate.

I personally would not buy the Series.Blue because I think the body package looks stupid, especially the lip. But then, I think lips look stupid on this car in general. I also don't care for the blue stitching in the interior, no matter how "special" it is. I do like the STI rims, but not as much as my RPF1s, so they really make no difference. The only thing on the Blue that I wish I had on my Limited are the underbody panels, but that's something nobody ever sees, and I'm already planning to buy them for $200 and put them on my car myself after the first of the year.

I can't really see paying extra for the Series.Blue for things I don't really like when I can get what I do like about it for $200. And I really don't think the fact that it's a limited edition is going to make much of a difference in the resale value.

Now, if the Series.Blue had been a special edition 400 horsepower version of the car set up as a sleeper that didn't really look different unless you knew what to look for, THAT I would be willing to trade in for.

Would have went with a Monogram if available at the time. Was sticking with Scion as my Toyota service over the years has been great and no Subaru dealers intown. Went with the 10 Series as it was the best option at the time that gave me what I wanted: LED DRLs, keyless, auto-climate. Would have liked to have the: heated/leather alcantara seats, more exterior colors that come with the Monogram.

In the end, I'm content with the cloth seats, I like the red shoulders oppose to all black. And the Silver Ignition color is amazing and is like no other I have ever seen.

I could live without the crickets you get on every trim level.

Thank you for your replies. I made a mistake... I meant the Premium is more "bare" although it is just looks of the ac and such and one might want the limited interior (the ac control part) for a car they use for all around. Yea its not less comfy... Just looks different.

Limited because of HIDs, alcantara, push button start, climate control, foglights, and spoiler. I actually like the spoiler, but I think I'm in the minority there.

You summed up everything. Even though I know FRS's don't get WRB, I love how they don't get the spoiler either

I'm the same way with other cars.. I was cross-shopping the Gen Coupe, and it had to be a Grand Touring.. the R-Spec just wouldn't cut it. I would be upset if I bought the R-Spec and saw GT's with mirror turn signals and better interiors.

I'd rather have the most features within budget than sacrifice features on a car just so I can afford it.

Surprised people still complain about this. I got used to it after 2 weeks.

I don't mean to thread jack but what kind of discount did you get with the military pricing?

I have the Limited, but I think in hindsight I would get the Premium. I don't use the dual climate control, or heated seats. I actually prefer turn key ignition to push start as well. I pretty much got it because I wanted leather seats and the spoiler
