Weathershield HP Car Cover

After doing a search, I found one guy having good luck with the Weathershield HP car cover by Covercraft.

Anybody else out there? This would be used on a daily driver. I am worried about scratches and would really like hearing more experiences, if there are any.

I don't have that particular cover, but I have a Covercraft for my TSX. I've been trying to figure out which model lately as we've been looking to get one for the new .blue, but it's the one rated for nickel/quarter sized hail. Never had any issues with mine when I've used it and it fits great (it's one made specifically for my model), but the big key is to make sure your car is CLEAN when you put the cover on. If you've got dirt and stuff on there, the cover could rub the stuff into the paint and scratch it. Also, you don't want to get your cover all nasty. Aside from being dirty, it can also rub the stuff into your paint during future uses.

I don't use mine all the time, as I got it as we have a 1-car garage, and in the event mine had to stay outside during one of those nasty midwestern storms, I wanted it protected. Of course, we have 3 cars now… and once we can get the BRZ in the garage (its entrance is too high at the moment…), it will get the coveted spot. We'll still be getting a good weather cover though just in case, especially as it might get bumped during parts of the winter.

Also, get the bag with it if you can… it'll make storage a lot easier (I've got mine stuffed in a Rubbermaid tub).

Covercraft has a great chart on their site regarding the best uses for each of their numerous covers-- waterproofness, sun exposure, hail, etc. Obviously your needs in the Bay Area will be much different than mine!
