Factory wheel-locks work with RPF1?
Sorry if I've missed this question if its' already been asked.
One of the add-ons I got with my FR-S was the alloy wheel-locks. Now I'm buying the RPF1 17x9 wheels and am asking if anyone knows if those wheel-locks with still work with the RPF1 wheels, or do I need to buy some new lugs? Thank you.

I don't know about the wheel locks, but the factory lugs aren't a great fit for the Enkei wheels because the contact surface that you're torquing down is much smaller than regular tuner lugs. Angle is the same though, so they will work.

If a lug with a smaller contact area has the same angle as the seat of Enkei wheels and matches in surface area.... how is that different from a OEM lug that is of a larger surface area and same angle as well as Enkei wheels? The friction area is the same. As long as the lug nut doesn't deform, it won't matter what lugs you use as long as the conical seat of the lug nut matches up to the wheel lug seat area and proper torque is applied. -alex |

While the seat angle is the same, the area intended to seat the lug is not fully occupied by the lug. If you're cool with a lug that only seats on part of the wheel, then go for it.
