3rd brake light relocate to headliner (my version)
So i was inspired by Fatherfork's DIY to relocate the thurs brake light. I bought the same led light and extension cable he did from the site he linked. Here's a link to his thread:
DIY - Third brake light relocate to headliner I couldn't be bothered though to do all the wood work to make the housing, so i walked around Home Depot looking for an alternative and came across house side molding. Super light, and perfect to tuck in the sideliner....all i needed to do was to cut it before the curve off (top part in the second folder). And thats where put the led light. Had an extra harness from a 3rd brake light that burned in the past and i had replaced....so used that and attached it to the led's wire.....Then completely removed the original brake light. All i need to do is paint the molding black and im good to go. Theres actually nothing pinning down the molding to the liner. Im going to drive around with the rough version for the next few days before painting and determining if i need double sided tape anywhere. More pics to come after weekend when i finish painting and touching up the job |

Very simple!. The cutting of the plastic is the most annoying part, but all said i was done in about 60-80 minutes..... just the paint job will take a bit of "drying" time.
