Cold weather advice... Don't forget the AC !
Don't forget to run the AC in your car every few weeks for a few minutes.. !
This will keep the internal seals in the compressor lubed and moistened during long unused periods. Which in turn will keep the unit healthy. Especially for us with manual climate control systems where the compressor doesn't automatically turn on. The AC will protect itself by not allowing the compressor to turn on if it's too cold.. So no worries there.. Also enjoy the extra power that cold intake air provides and without the Drag from the AC! |

Also note that the defroster utilizes the A/C so if you're running the defroster you are cycling the A/C system.
Edit: This is the knob setting that blows air across the windshield, not the defroster for the rear. Edit 2: I don't think the A/C system unused for a season within the first few years of ownership will cause any issues, I am not going to worry about it. The compressor kicks on to remove humidity from the air when you run the front defrost. This helps clear your windows much quicker.
