Optimal tire pressure for handling with stock Michelin tires
35psi cold seems too high and the steering feels a little light. What pressure have people found makes the most of the stock tires?

what exactly does "cold" mean. 50*F or no heat in the tires from driving. IM curious because my TPMS light came on after the cold front last week and I need to inflate.

cold is ambient temperature
also where did you get 35psi from? That's what i would recomend for a quick fix at an autocross dial it down to around 28 and be happy.

right!
35 is correct on the sticker i was thinking of my old vw which had 70 aspect tires. honestly 35 is fine, not sure what you mean by light, car's pretty solid steering. Maybe you drove a car with stiffer/gripper tires before?

35 is a good starting point, but to really get optimal grip you need to be reading the temperature across the width of the tire to see if certain parts are heating up more when lapping/racing. For the road, just stick with 35.

I don't know which of the many threads has the most visibility, but I figured I'd add my two cents in one of them... For us with actual seasons, I see 35 PSI @ 50F as optimal. That way you have more contact patch at a lower PSI for snow/ice. Then when it's nice out, you can have less sidewall flex when cornering at higher speeds in dry conditions.

I do -3 to -5 on most of my cars for looooong trips. When tested under heat, it's usually where it needs to be. I noticed better mpg on our Rav4 when i took air out.... havent tested FRS.... will do it in coming week for 3-4 gas tanks.
I'd say -3 to -5 when cold so that there is more surface area=more friction=more loud interior but feels nicer in corners? (grip-wise)
