Turbo+super

I couldnt find this in the forums.

I just had a few questions that have been bugging me.

1. What is the difference between a super-charger and a turbocharger?

2. Can you put both on a car?

3. If yes to 2 can you fit both on an frs/brz?

wow.
I'm gonna assume you are like 16 so I'm gonna help out.
-the turbo charger uses the exhaust gases from your engine to turn a fan that shoots pressured air into your engine.
-The Supercharger is connected to the belts -already running other components in your engine- via a pulley. This pulley turns a fan that shoots pressured air into your engine.

Both have benefits and disadvantages which have been discussed a trillion times on google.
Yes you can use both system at the same time but you need to have a LOT of moneys to do that CUSTOM set up.

Back in my Lotus days, there was an Exige owner named "Ronin". He owns a 700HP Exige that has a composite charger, both Super and turbo charged.

And yes... very very very expensive. He dropped about $130,000+ into the car's build...

This will be a mindblowingly expensive setup, pretty much have to make everything custom and most likely your going to want a built motor to make worth while.

Assuming you pay someone to do this your not walking out with a bill under 20k if not more.

I have helped build and drove compound cobras/GT500s I can tell you that it makes for one nasty street car. Power under the curve is insane, but it still doesnt have the top end of a nice single or a larger set of twins.
