flapping noise

Has anyone else noticed a flapping noise at higher speeds?

If I'm going 70 or more, it's very noticeable. I drove along side when someone else was driving the car & didn't notice anything obvious... The little mud flap in front of the rear tire was moving a bit, but I'm not sure it was enough to make the noise

any thoughts or experience from the collective?

My mud flap in the back came partially off and was flapping.

thats what I saw.

I hear no flapping or fapping. in mine it sounds like my passenger window is down just a bit, but it's not. And I have a bad habit of hitting the window up button every dang time I hear it.

Hope you find the culprit

I had something similar on my Si, took me almost a year to figure out. Factory body work was loose in a spot, at over 70 enough turbulence to shake it and cause it to "flap". Sounds like that might be a good place to look ;-)

I hear the same noise in my BRZ. I cannot find out what it is. It seems to have gone away for now though.

Edit - How new is your BRZ? Mine made the sound in my first 100 miles.

I have the same experience, seems like the mud flap is flapping but only passenger side. I read some say could be the under panel...

The rear mud flaps are still connected - seem to be as good as ever. Has anyone modified them to have less play? I'm thinking about using 2 part epoxy or something...

Check all your tires for rocks stuck in the tread blocks.

When I got under the car for my first oil change I noticed 3 places where the fiber undercover isn't tight in the rear where they use shoulder bolts to hold it on. The holes in the undercover are larger than the shoulders on the bolts and there is 3-4mm of play where the undercover can bang against the body. Great source for strange rattles. I had a few spare fuel injector o-rings that fit perfectly to snug the undercover up.

I get it at around 85mph. Pretty constant but hard to determine where it's coming from.
