do you want an intake or currently have an intake? if so, then no point in having a catted headers FYI

Even if there is a header out there with cats on it, unless they are C.A.R.B. approved it doesn't matter.. They have to be approved first, and the cost of that just isn't going to happen.. If they start selling the twins like civics, then maybe, but for the limited production compared to say a civic or mustang or what ever.. It's just not going to happen.. Best bet is to just swap it out every 2 years for your emissions test, if you want headers that bad..

Is it 5??? I thought it was two.. But this is my first new car in Cali, and I don't plan on staying in this state for much longer lol but I won't get rid of all the cats.. I saw a friend get a 20k fine for it.. He was being an ass to the cop for street racing and kinda got what he deserved.. But I don't want to be in that situation... Ever lol

damn 20k is a tad too much hahaha

ya, my 2011 accord i bought it in nov 2010, if it was 2 years, they woulda required me to do it this past nov, but I just needed to pay for registration.. so ya, 5 years .. it might be every 2 years thereafter..

I had no CARB sticker on my AEM intake on my previous car (bought intake used) and got a ticket for $10K. It was dropped after I contacted AEM for the CARB sticker and showed it in court.

I love it when people say "move out of CA." Haha.... for what... just to modify cars?

Forget about...
- Great weather
- Great (and wildly varying) scenery/terrain
- Awesome driving roads
- Mixing of many different cultures.
- High tech companies
- etc.....

Anyway, if you can get the stock heat shields to fit over an aftermarket catted header (perhaps with some trimming and welding on some mounting tabs), then you can probably get through smog no problem.

Hmm, lets see:

Austin, TX
- High tech companies
- Better weather (No rain)
- Awesome driving roads
- Things don't cost a shitload, like gas
- Mix of cultures
- Economy 100x better than CA
- Scenery, plenty if you go find it
- NO STUPID SMOG RULES THAT LIMIT CARS PERFORMANCE

Yes, move just to modify cars.

I'll be happily driving with catless headers when I find a pair I like!

The only problem with finding catted aftermarket headers with a heat shield is finding a company willing to do it. Most likely that header is going to be $1500+ as well.
