Holes in rear arches

Do the US and other derivatives 'suffer' holes in the rear arches?
The UK spec cars have holes made for fitting mud flaps, but at c. £120 a set I laughed at the idea.
I'm being told that they have no option to fill or bung the holes and that I have to live with it. May be a minor, cosmetic thing, but once you've noticed the bare holes you can't unsee them. Really narked me.

Yes there are open holes there and its extremely annoying. You would think they could have at least supplied plugs. I've heard of people buying generic plastic fastener pins, cutting off the posts, and gluing the tops over the holes to conceal them.

I don't believe the OP is talking about the under carriage or the car transport holes, I think he's talking about the inside of the rear wheel wells. Both sides are missing fender well screws or plugs on the back half of the inside fender. My car is missing them too. I'm also guessing they can be secured if you install a set of mud flaps. Looks unfinished and flimsy...shame on you Subaru/Toyota.

Ahh, I saw those holes too. I guess we could just buy a few of the pop tabs, i think they are about a buck each.

As has been mentioned above, not the shipping bungs - holes in arches:

As you can see, the hole at the top is filled with an appropriate clip/bung/johnny. Dealer who sold me the car says there is no fix and I must live with it.
1. Bollocks! I've just spent nigh on thirty fecking grand and they won't sort out a trivial cosmetic oversight.
2. They're little more than pennies each FFS, for example: eBay.
3. Use more of those used in the top holes.

Seems to be common omission on all UK spec cars.

I think that is on every car, mine is the same way. I think it is "fixed" if you get the mud flaps. I ma not too worried because I would guess that any aftermarket kits will use them for mounting and I plan on getting a lip kit.

No, just go to the Auto parts store and buy the plastic inserts.

It is muche better than rusting from the inside out!

I can't believe you're pestering a dealer with something like that. Did you mention it before signing the papers?

This guy finds this thread hilarious...

I don't mean to be rude, but it seems like Frs/brz/86 owners are very fickle.

Go to any car forum and you'll see all car forums are all the same.

But leaving out plugs in the most critical place where salt can build up in is not fickle, to me it's long term rusting.
