At a crossroad... do I sell my soul?

Questions for the community… So I banged up the car at an event so bad I'm not sure its worth fixing. No insurance at hillclimbs. The sheet metal on one entire side, plus hood and both bumper covers, are trash. Rear corner needs straightened and pulled to put a new quarter on. Plus theres the paint. There's no air bags, and no engine compartment damage other than the rad support is twisted. Engine runs and nothing leaks. It has a cage, seats and harnesses, etc. All the typical bolt-on mods for suspension, exhaust, intake, tune, etc. No boost.
For a street car its easily a total loss. For a track car it’s a toss up for me.
What are the options?
Do I fix it and keep costs down as much as possible? End result is a usable racecar and no money.
Do I give up on it and part out everything I can? End result is some money and no racecar. In today's market how do I find another car to rebuild and what will that cost? Then I have to do all the mods over again possibly to get back to where I was.
Third option, fix it and keep costs down. Undo the mods and sell those. Put the interior back, cut out the cage, etc. Return it to a street car as much as possible to take advantage of the market and sell it. Maybe end up with some more money and no racecar. Now find and build another car?
How easy is to find totaled/salvage cars that can be turned track car?
Some of these seem like a whole lot of effort and time for little gain. Maybe it comes down to what's in my heart.
I know other have been through this. What's your experience been like?

24 hr Lemons?
You've already got a caged body and engine that still works.
Declare a total loss for points.
If you can get the suspension close to where it's supposed to be.
Might wipe up the usual suspects on the course.

Finding like minded team members and drivers with equity to put in can be an exercise in cat herding though.

Interesting idea.
Nothing wrong with suspension or brakes that I can tell. The hit was mostly on body. One cracked wheel.

if it's already a prepped track car, it sorta sounds like the best course of action would be to straighten it out--imo, will save a lot more money, and especially time, fixing your booboo on a prepped car than yanking it all and starting entirely over, especially in this market, where i doubt you could even locate a usable car for under $15k right now...

if the body (driveline) is straight, repair it... probably will not get a lot for it in that condition. if used as a racecar, get cheap used bumpers, slap on, stock wings, save yourself money and hastle and repair it, keep on with having fun
