Installing side mirrors with turn signals broke my electric folding & adjustment?

Just took the mirrors off to be replaced with those covers with turn signal LEDs, and a wide-angle mirror. I took off the entire assembly since the whole structure was being replaced.

Everything seemed to go well, but I ran into 2 problems

1. The angle adjustment won't turn the mirrors downwards. At first all 4 directions did not work on both sides, but after manually pushing in each 4 directions on both mirrors, most directions have "reset" back into working again. Except down.

So I tried to "reset" the mirrors by folding it in and out, which led to problem 2.

2. I pressed the folding switch in and it didn't work, so I tried to do a "manual reset" again by manually pushing the mirrors in until it clicked in their folded position. At this point I realised that the switch was stuck in the depressed position. It wasn't stuck stuck like it was glued or obstructed down, the switch itself could still wiggle about. However, just pushing it again wouldn't get it to "click" again and come back out to the unfolded position.

So I just pushed the mirrors back out and drove. However, I realised that every time I started the car again, the mirrors would electronically fold back in, and get stuck since the button was still stuck. So I have to push it back out before driving off each time.

Has anyone in the community experienced these problems, and/or have a guess at how these problems might be fixed?

Solved, turns out when I removed the switch assembly from the interior door card to detach the interior door card from the metal doors, and re-assembled them, the position of the underlying switch/knob wasn't properly flush with the plate, leading to mechanical obstruction.

Had to semi-remove the interior door card to wedge it back, though. Wouldn't budge if the whole thing was in one piece. Just held on to the mirror angle adjustment knob and gently nudged it back into position.
