The complete BRZ coilover install guide (Powered By MAX, Whiteline, WORK)

Thinking about making that big purchase for your 86? I know when I decided to take the plunge and install aftermarket coilovers I was apprehensive. I'd never set to modifying a car, or doing much more than basic routine maintenance - was I really qualified to do an install like this? Was I going to be able to accomplish this task with hand tools in a cramped garage?

To put it simply: I had no idea. But I did it! At least six times now.

Having installed aftermarket coilovers and endlinks on my 86 a handful of times, I and my cohort at Minute Rice Channel thought it would be a good idea to provide an updated, thorough, and easy to follow video guide with clear instruction for all the other at-home DIY garage warriors out there.

Nice video. The only thing I saw was the lowering method. Spring Perches are for lowering if you are doing it properly, though bottom mounts will probably do for most people who don't mind a bit of rubbing potentially.

1. Set desired height by matching stock to new.
(make new shorter by how much lower you want vs stock)

2. Install

3. Let settle. (A week)

4. Adjust as needed.
