Again very slowly walked around and checked out the rear end even getting down and looking under at the exhaust. Went up the passenger side and looked at the rims and in the window again. This guys was INTENSE in his examination of the car but never so much as touched it once. After watching this for over 5 minutes I walked up and he looked at me and said "is this your car?" I said yes and he said "very cool" and walked away.
The punch line is that this guy was no more than 5 years old! Guess there is a good market for used ones down the road.
Hate to quote myself but when I read this over again I sort of panicked a bit!
In hind sight probably was NOT a good idea standing staring at a little kid for 5+ minutes while holding a bag of candy! Just seems creepy to me now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was sitting waiting to make a right at a red light when a new c7 corvette crossed through the intersection. I was watching it go through when I noticed the passenger rubber necking hard core all the way through the intersection until he couldn't turn his head any farther. I had a little chuckle and forgot about it. I made the right and traveled down the road and saw the vette sitting on the side of the road and the driver and passenger getting out and swapping seats. It wasn't until I looked at the license plate and noticed that it was a dealer plate that I figured out that the passenger was taking it out for a test drive from the Chevy dealer up the road. It made me chuckle some more and think that a a guy in the market for a brand new vette is staring down a twin worth a mere fraction of of the cost. Kind of a BS sounding story, I know. It happened just the other day

Some neighborhood kid said "nice car!" yesterday. My mom also said it was beautiful. She says I'm a catch, too, though.

I have had this firestorm for about 2 weeks and I have seen people inspecting the car like i had a vinyl wrap of tits all over the exterior and interior.

Today I had a few guys sitting in the pizzeria I was having lunch at and were lookin out the window at my sexy beast. They had a small convo about it not knowing I was the owner sittin right next to them. Another guy parked next to me while I was still eating and immediately started lookin at it as soon as his head popped out of his driver seat. He held eye contact with it as he very slowly walked around and past it. Felt nice driving it outa that parking lot.

I haven't seen any girls checking out the car besides my coworkers or friends. So far every woman I know has said something similar to "omg thats a seeeeexxy car!", so I just assume other women are thinking the same thing but aren't as forward with it as guys.

I have overheard some weird and wonderful things said about my car! Said it before in other threads but my favorite is the "expert" explaining to his buddies how it is the "new Porsche Scorpion" Scion (or Skeeoon as he pronounced it) apparently now means Scorpion in German. It puts out "over 500 horse" and costs "over $100,000". He was so convincing with all his "facts" that I thought I should get more insurance.
Again said it before but worth repeating: I find women will say "nice car I LOOOOOVE the colour" which to me means it could be a 10 year mini van as long as it is a pretty colour! You will probably get the same with the Firestorm.

I break my neck every time I walk away from my car. Had people complement my car a few times and lots of stares while driving as well.

Kids definitely love the way this car looks, as I have caught a bunch of kids ogling my car as I am washing it on my driveway.

The one thing I don't get is that a number of reviewers including Top Gear, Jalopnik and MotorTrend indicated that they weren't fond of the styling or that it was too plain. I find that incredibly surprising given the amount of positive feedback in this thread, which proves that the design is a pretty big hit.

One thing that bothers me about looking back at my car is the horrendous paint job, especially noticeable on the hood. Looks like a bad respray. You can't see anything reflected clearly in it. So I try to look at the car from other angles.

Repaint? The 86 paint isn't like an Audi but still shouldn't be describe as horrendous from factory?

I usually spin a few heads walking out of the FRS with these on. If only they had power laces

Nah, these cars have become the corvette of imports. They are everywhere and nobody cares for them anymore.
