THIS! Do not sell/advertise/mention/allude to them on the forum without paying the vendor fee, otherwise you'll get banned and permanently barred from having PMs and a signature. Been there, dealt with that, still living with it.

Thank you. I have been thinking about this.

To be clear (with the admins), I have no current plans to make and sell these. I am not a vendor and do not intend to play one on TV.

I will not, however, rule it out for the future. I'm glad you all like it. I smile every time I look in my rear view mirror.

It will be visible, but I really doubt I would use this particular LED strip behind 20%. I do plan on getting 35% soonish, so we'll see how that goes. I may have to source something a little brighter, but I think anyone who wanted this and has as low as 35% would be fine with this strip. As always though, check your local laws.

Edit: The only reason I wouldn't use this strip behind 20% is because of daytime driving. At night I'm sure it would be plenty visible.

Thanks! I went with the shorter light because I like the strait line. All the way across can look good, but it's harder to get the curve right.

This is sexier than I would have expected!

I think I am going to use this idea rather than getting the beatsonic spoiler to do the same thing. much cheaper less 'ricer' option (since cops love giving me tickets as it is).

edit1: Although, I am going to try to do it across the whole back of the car and put in some turn signals!
edit2: Alcantara would be really sweet, it would help fill the little gaps that are left after cutting the wood. Might have to pick up some of that too.

Subbed!

Just a quick update guys, thanks for the interest. I wasn't planning to build these, but I'm looking into forum sponsorship now so we'll see what happens :-)

You can count me in on one to :-) You could also see if someone with a 3D printer could scan and then just mass produce the wood part in black that would only leave the mount and LED part up to you or who ever. Just brainstorming.
