My 2nd gen wish list is pretty simple. Keep what works with the current gen (simplicity, light weight, focus on sporty handling over comfort) and fix the main 1st gen complaints i.e. up the power and torque (especially important to encourage existing owners to upgrade).
To be more specific, a) put a lightly restyled body over the existing platform, b) make sure it has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, c) give it an extra 50 HP, and d) eliminate the torque dip, and they can crack open the beers and call it a day. |

2nd Generation 86 - WISH LIST
I want seats that I can sit straight in. They offer great lateral support but for us taller people the lumbar positioning is all messed up, the shoulder supports are too low and narrow, and the headrests are too far forward.
If you’re over 6 feet or close with a long torso these seats suck ergonomically. |

It's going to have to be significant bump in power to walk away from a paid off/low mileage car. Especially not since I have an extended bumper to bumper warranty until 2021. With those of us who have upgraded a little with header/tune and further made it a little more personalized to our taste, we have no reason to buy unless we just like to waste money to play the "new taillight, special color, 5 hp bump" game. They need to bite the bullet and keep the price close to what it is and throw in that extra 50 hp on the house by whatever means that it takes. Last edited by Impureclient; 10-17-2019 at 01:27 PM. |

1. Turbo option (top-end version) or larger displacement NA motor (aka no torque valley)
2. Keep it light/RWD 3. More factory options to personalize it (much like Mini Coopers have so many paint, decal, trim schemes) 4. An automatic with more gears, tighter ratios, and faster shift speed OR DSG/SMG type transmission option |

I would be happy if they could fit the FA24 in. Combine that with a lighter and stiffer chassis, hell yes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Why are Toyobaru so afraid of offering two engine choices? Don't most if not all other sporty cars do this? Then the buyer can choose depending on their personal value proposition. I'd like to see the FA24; but also a turbo option, as well. It's a great platform, why not exploit it?

It’s confusing to me also, it seems like it would be a homerun for them. Hell even if there was a true STI (and I guess GR for Toyota) version of the car, people would buy it. Meaning a more powerful engine and the fun stuff to go with it. So many car people want it, please Toyota make it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

my wish is for better speakers. im not going to tear apart the interior installing better ones. make the msrp 500 more and give us decent speakers.
the first thing i noticed when i got in was how bad the audio was. i was planning on improving it, but i just got used to how miserable the speakers are. and now i dont even realise how miserable it is because its all i ever hear haha. why does everyone want a forced induction option, dont you realise how easy it is to go forced in the aftermarket, with readily available kits? |

I get why they didn't do it the first time around, citing too many changes required to the vehicle, not to mention time and development cost constraints. But on a second go-around, and knowing what some buyers want and have been willing to pay for, with time to now make the necessary changes, what is stopping them?
