Keep the ideas coming. I've been wanting to put together an emergency kit for some time now.

The simple first aid kits are nice, but probably won't do much in a car crash situation. I recommend getting some kind of trauma sponge/ compression bandage just in case. These things are amazing at stopping big cuts from bleeding out.
Most kits only have bandaids. Plastic gloves are also good to have packed. https://www.amazon.com/Ever-Ready-Fi...G7VS7PQ2YY1J0K |

Flash drive of the complete recordings of Bill Evans. If I can't listen to Bill Evans, life's not worth living anyway.

My survival kit includes:
3 foot zip ties. 1 foot zip ties popclips assorted hose clamps bungie cords extra light bulbs: headlights, markers, blinkers etc... Scredrivers, Phillip & standard. Small Socket set TQ wrench for wheels Lug nut adapters Gloves Jumper cables Extra battery in a milk crate. Basically everything to get the car going or zip the bumper on if I hit a deer. (I really live in the middle of nowhere) My wife actually hit a semi tire, and used the kit to zip the bumper back on. ![]() http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15441

Interesting list... I take it that your disaster strategy assumes that you will have access to hot and cold water to enable easy consumption of instant coffee and powdered juice.. |

I have candles and a metal cup. If stuck it is because of snow so water isn't an issue.
