My apologies if this question has been asked already, will your kit be ceramic coated?
If not is it posible to have that option? |

The coatings seem to eventually flake off under continuous high heat conditions. Of course, the show car and DD guys will disagree. Again, this is our own opinion so we'll leave that decision to the customer once they get the product in hand. |

That won't happen because he is getting an Innovate kit, but with a load control Dynojet you can also load up the rollers just like on a Dyno Dynamics or Mustang dyno. The only thing I would be really interested in seeing is a public dyno day for all the Forced Induction section cars to really see what is what all on the same day, same dyno.

Dyno Dynamics Dynos cost 3-4 times as much as a typical DJ inertia dyno for good reason. DD, Dyno Pack, Mustang, Bosch, Maha dynos actually measure TQ using a load or strain gauge in a similar manner to the way a scale measures your weight. An inertia dyno measure a TQ curve based on how quickly you can accelerate an object of fixed mass (roller) from speed A to speed B. It's almost like determining someones weight based off of how far you can throw them versus having them jump on an actual scale. There is a reason why DD dyno do not need a smoothing "math" algorithm to create a smooth HP and TQ plot. Every pixel you see on a DD dyno is measured from the load cell using a small 8" roller with a resolution of 96 teeth on the roller. All the good, the bad, and the ugly will show up on a DD dyno without being "smoothed" or mathematically altered to produce a non wavy dyno curve. There is no connecting the dots here. In the end though, they are tuning devices that allow you to measure the delta from tuning/parts changes. With this said, they all allow you to do full throttle tuning and quantify the results. The loading dynos add the ability to allow you to measure HP/TQ under any engine load for a complete overall tune. We too are looking to get our car on a Dynojet dyno sometime in the near future too. We're certain the results will only look more impressive all throughout the powerband.

What dynojet has loading abilities? From my understanding, they don't have the ability to load the rollers. And if he's already set on the Innovate kit, then why would they waste their time to honor his request with their car when they have spent $k's on their own in house dyno? I wouldn't want to see a dyno day. I'm partial to a track day instead. |

Yep, my favorite aspect of being on a track. It's about the driver. You could always street race the cars if you want to take the driver out of the equation more...lol. |

Buy an E30 and join SpecE30 racing then. One of the few places where driver talent nearly always determines your finishing position.

I always test my power upgrades on a drag strip, and my handling upgrades on the track/AutoX course. What I almost always usually find is the proper power upgrades make my car faster @ all venues... YMMV...

I already have a track car. If I were to have an E30, it would be sliding sideways instead (what I plan to do with the FR-S). Quote:
I don't. Cause I know better than to judge a car by how much the peak power is. Quote:
