I have a question for those of you who got your FR-S from Bel-Air. Where did they located the front license plate.. Is is screwed into the black portion of the grill or is it drilled into the bumper above the lower grill. Examples of what I'm referring to are below

I asked them to not mount mine, and installed it myself inside the grill. Like here on my car and others: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...postcount=1346 Oh also, welcome and congrats on your FR-S! Last edited by Slick; 05-20-2013 at 05:51 PM. |

Thanks for the reply. Will ask them to not mount it, and either mount it like you have or purchase the grimmspeed towhook relocator. Cheers

If you look closely on the lower plastic grill mesh where it is actually solid there are two dimples where they are supposed to mount the plate
I request them not to do it and so did the salesman's instructions to the prep guys but they drilled anyway! Had them swap a virgin grill from a demo car in the showroom before I would take delivery. I bought the Grimmspeed kit and like it much better than the stock method Cheers Ken |

So do you guys happen to have a ticking from your engine that sounds like the lifters getting tired in an older engine? I brought it in and they said it was the injectors... Do the injectors on our cars make a ticking sound?

I've already put 8k on my car since getting it in late march, and have yet to have problems other than a few physical blemishes caused by drifting accidents.

Its the ethanol from the gas, makes the injectors tick and sounds like "crickets". I always use Shell 91, but a few times have used Petro94 and I hear it. Goes away again once back to Shell as their premium has no ethanol in it.

That's all I use but still hear the ticking.. I should have got them to fire up the demo for me to compare. TG gave me a rough quote for a new engine at $10k!? As soon as i bolt the vortech on warrantee will be out the window. I suppose I will wait till cruise night to get some other opinions.

I think some of us are eagerly putting on the kms so we can have an excuse to put a turbo/supercharger on. I'm at 20K already, surely Roddy and Paul are up there too. |
