I think the manufacturer quoted time will be 6.7 - 6.8 seconds to 60mph.

for those who can launch and shift properly and quickly.... 5.9 sec for MT and 6.2 for AT.
Thats if you can get to 60 in second gear....if not, add another 3/10ths or so to that

yea it does. 2 wheels rotating at the same time vs 1 rotating until they both begin to rotate. for straight line and no cornering a live axel is ideal since we are talkin 0-60 times here. Ppl weld rearends on cars for drag racing.

^What? Given identical available traction under the left and right tire it makes no difference if the differential is open, welded or has limited slip. And for a car of this power level let's not kid ourselves into thinking it matters.
1) A RWD car will always launch better than a comparable FWD car due to weight transfer. 2) "Launch" control on a car of this power level is just ridiculous, unnecessary and won't be faster than doing it yourself 3) Given this car's power level stickier tires will make little if no difference whatsoever (1-2 tenths) 4) Manufacturer's quoted performance times are ALWAYS conservative. ALWAYS 5) If a 1993 Integra GS-R with 160hp can hit 60 in 6.5 seconds this damn well better be faster. (see Car and Driver's test of this vehicle for reference if you don't believe it) My guess is 5.7-5.9 for the manual, assuming 60 mph can be reached in 2nd gear. Given the low torque nature of this engine expect published times to be all over the place. I've seen S2000 0-60 times quoted from 4.9 to 6.7.

Thank you Syldrin. I supose that in ideal conditions it wouldn't be necessary, but these ideal conditions are very difficult to find...

Well if the similarly powered Si (despite powerband differences) can do it in 6.3s FWD then I would assume the FR-S being ligher and RWD should do it in around 5.8s (taking into account weight transfer and a non-280lb driver)

you guys really don't think a diff helps straight line acceleration? that blows my mind. and no i didn't forget about 200hp did you forget about 151lbs-ft of torque because thats the number you deal with when you spin ze tires.
