A lower duty cycle only tells you that the injector is opening very little time, which is a good thing. So to paraphrase your statement, To lower the duty cycle, you need bigger injectors.

With that in mind, from your statement, what that means is, to be at 80% duty cycle you need 640 cc injectors and to be at 65% duty cycle, you need 787 cc injectors. And again, those numbers do not apply to us because the DI system injects fuel at a high pressure, and takes the bulk of work off of the port injectors.
so basically all these calculators are useless for us. because the data each gives me is so far off from what makes sense. i think that may be whats throwing me off at least i know im on the right track even tho i didnt realize it lol. now if only i could find a way to incorporate DI into these dam equations

The info you find on the internet in pages that say "injector calculator" do not apply to our cars because they consider a car that has ONLY port injectors.

I am showing you with hard data (my duty cycle), how far off are those calculators from our car. The DI pump is a Godsend

Alright, enough thread jacking from me tonight. I'm gonna patiently wait for a new map with OB set to 12 psi and see where 9 and 10 consistently put the fueling % at. I will base that off what I have at 8, and that should give a decent gradient for fueling needs as boost pressure increases. (Kinda)

Going 9-10 on stock fueling, man you got some balls. If it were my car, no chance in hell I risk it. Remember duty Cycle is not the only variable to look at for fueling needs, volume of gas injected is critical too.

IMHO.

You may be right about that but if the ports have an additional flow of 10-15 safe range, why not tax them and see where they go? The gas here in GA is good, so I really don't have to worry about blowing up from crap gas. What's 1-2 more psi? Must push the bleeding edge for the masses. lol
