Sigh, I don't even care anymore. I knew Scion would butcher the interior like this. Don't even know why I got my hopes up. If the FR-S they are showing is $21k then why not, but if they price it unreasonably close to the JDM low spec then I'm just gonna keep to public transit.

EDIT: They should also take the AC, stereo, Bluetooth, iPod/Aux port and backseats out while they're at it. Not gonna use those.

Scion probably didn't offer the high spec model because they know the average scion buyer won't pay 25-26k for a car. No point making it if it won't yield them sales. It's all business in the end.

I cant see the price being more than 22k, which is exactly scions goal. Affordable coupe that caters to the young crowd. Want a more premium car? Go buy a brz. It shouldn't surprise anyone that USDM models will always be different than their JDM brother. Different market requires different products.

I'm guessing they don't plan on all that many of their normal average scion owner buying one. Some of the TC guys here are the exception. This is being sold as a Scion to bring new buyers to Scion.

I prefer the look of the scion/toyota model so I just hope they'll sell what I want as an option, otherwise I will buy the Subaru. In nothing else I'd prefer that over the Subaru anyways because some of the BRZ/High spec features I don't care one bit about.

Guys your missing the point of Scion, the one shown is not adn I repeat not the final product, yes final as in BASE model, remember they make money selling upgrades IE better lights, interior, foglights, rims, accessorys, ect they will have the same car you just have to pay for it, I knew this going in, when the Scion FRS is for sale mark my words you can get the same thing as the GT86 you just have to pay for it.

That is so awesome, so I don't have to worry about tearing out the sound system, the back seats and stuff. You did great Scion!

Oh, this is not sarcasm. I am actually happy! Yee Haw Eh!

?? I don't understand your point. Both the Scion and BRZ still come with those items so how does the Scion make it so you don't have to remove it?

Very disappointed with the FRS ...

Dear Toyota,

After a 14 year hiatus with sports cars, this production version was the best you could do? Really Toyota? The production version of the car is a huge let down.

There is a huge difference between this first picture and this second one. The first is quite a visually appealing car, and the interior (which I don't have pictures of) was also much better looking. The production version of this car is much closer to a Camry than a Supra. Big deal if the first pictured car added a few thousand to the cost, I would have actually traded my XRS in and would have been able to park that car next to one of my Supras. I was ok with it being n/a and thought I'd drive it before I considered turbocharging it, but I think a TC is sportier looking then this production version and I'm not interested in changing the power, the body and the interior ... there is just no point to buying the car at that point.

Your production version of the car is a terrible failure of what could have been an excellent, smaller successor to the Supra. You've done absolutely nothing for the enthusiast in the past decade, and this car is an insult to all of us that were waiting patiently.

Totally disgusted,

- A die hard Toyota enthusiast that owns 5 Toyotas currently.

I think scion made a great move, from the looks of it, this will be the $20k ish that I wanted- something I could buy as a base for a fun daily driver with weekend track car potential...with the ability to buy it without really thinking about the price too much

but lets see what we find out at the price unveiling!
