Looks like I might get the BRZ instead unless they have high spec trim model or the options I want. If not i might have to wait for the model refresh. I want all the amenities that the JDM 86 has stock. This car will be my fun to drive DD maybe track use occasionally.

I've also noticed that there's no Press-Start button on Scion. I hope it stays that way. I don't want to pay extra for gimmicks. |

I actually want a push-start, I like that gimmick, lol.
But if it keeps the MSRP down, I'm all for it not being there. I know companies charge premium for small things like that; and the units aren't even that expensive. Plus that can be DIY anyway, making it unique if you do it. |

19" Volk rims with 225 tires in front! I think for me 18" will be enough, of course 17" will be better for track. Love the exhaust. Hey guys, I don't know about you, but I again change my mind: no headunit, no A/C, only hard core street racing car FTW!!!
By the way I like the blue stiching alot more than the red. Red is to comon now. |

Thanks for posting all this.
Though the Scion's interior isn't pretty, it ditches all the non-essential amenities and will be significantly cheaper and possibly a bit lighter. So for less money, the Scion will offer the same (if not slightly better) driving dynamics, which means the FR-S will achieve the FT86's initial goal better than the GT86 and BRZ. |

Hmmmmm Does this mean Subaru will bring in a low spec version of the BRZ into the NA too? I honestly thought scion was gonna get the high spec version here in the NA lol. With the "All scions come loaded" and whatnot. Seriously this should've been the first version to be revealed so that it doesn't look so... lacking compared to the 86 and BRZ. Oh well. Can't wait for official NA reveal of the BRZ now

That center console looks so much cheaper. This thing better be priced cheaper too, or else I'd be ticked.

Does anyone else see the *Prototype shown with optional equipment.* on each of the pictures in the first page? WHAT possible equipment have they used?!?

Holy crap 27 pages already.
This is the first time I'll make a comment on a thread like this, but I HAVE to say it. The Scion version is easily the cleanest looking version yet. Best fog lights and the extra amber in the tail lights de-uglifies them. I'm a little sad it doesn't get the aviation style switches for HVAC but I know 1) the rotary style switches will work better for a manual system and 2) I do not want to pay for auto climate control. I've decided which version I'm getting. |

I'm kind of late to go to work, so I won't read the whole thread now. Does someone knows if the LDS will still be standard, or if at list will come as an option?
BTW, I drive an Audi A3 and it has nice interiors, but really, I don't care about interior finishes that much if I'm having fun with the car. I've never sit in the back seat of my car, so I don't care about this one. And the dual climate HVAC? It's just make it more expensive to fix when the warranty is not covering any more. I was just wishing that they could keep the car affordable and it looks like they tried very hard to do so. Please try to understand that it's not as simple as saying "Oh they should have increased the price $500 and left the this and that the same as the BRZ or the GT 86". There are a lot of intricacies that increase the price when it comes to manufacturing. And let's not forget the kind of market to which this car is being directed. Let's all thank Toyota and Subaru because without this car, we would probably have to have the kind of money that buys you a Porsche Boxter or a BMW 1M, to get a driving experience like the one this car will probably provide. Need more power? First learn to handle it while oversteering in an apex in a car like this. |

Not a fan of the interior but if it makes the car more affordable i don't care. Maybe they will have good options. If you want all those luxury amenities you better not complain of the price. The first thing I will do is get rid of the head unit for aftermarket one.
