I guess the appeal of trying to be the fastest in a straight line has lost it's appeal to me over the years. I don't see the point unless you're competing against cars that would normally trample a stock FRS/BRZ. A fastest drag/track time board would be kind of cool though. Either way good luck.

Actually this car would be better suited than most in achieving a high top speed. It's drag cd is quite low, I believe it's in the neighborhood of .27 depending on the spoiler, underbody work. If I were you I would install a front splitter, lower it, get a custom diffuser made and realize that as you increase speed your resistance is cubed so you will need some serious hp. Lowering it will give you more downforce, less air resistance, and perhaps add some stability.

Agreed, I just like playing devils advocate. (plus I have a drag car for that sort of non-sense)

I'd personally go for the best handling 86 (i.e. pulling the most G's, or drifting) but go for it! Are engine swaps out?

@Archetype check out http://www.ecta-lsr.com/ and http://www.texasmile.net/

You could be the first 86 to hit 200mph in the standing mile!

Yeah I stated earlier that I'm not expecting 200+ mph speeds in the car. I used Henessey as an example bc had he posted in the Lotus forums "I want to put a V8 in the Exige" he would have had similar responses.
I just want to see what my car will do. Since its almost double the HP then it should be faster than the stock videos posted. It may not be right away bc I am about to be deployed for a few months but I just wanted some help finding out what people have seen/done with these cars.
Engine swaps aren't out but I've made good power with the stock motor by adding boost so for now ill just build it to take more boost. But if you are interested in what motors I've considered then its a choice of only 3. 2JZ GTE,LSX, and EJ25 in that order. Can't wait to hear the responses on that, haha.

Would be awesome and a goal to be considered but it is a lofty one. Right now I just want to be the guy that takes it to the limits on video and gives all 86 owners something to brag about.
