I still don't like the passenger side dash in either car. I have no idea why they went with such an odd looking shape on that side... Thats my only major gripe about the car, that and the ugly triangle foglight in the rear.

BRZ wins in the exterior for the turn singles being mounted in the headlight assembly. But on the other hand the Toyota seems to have a better interior.

I like the front of the 86 more but i prefer the headlight of the BRZ.

given the tie, i'd buy the 86 becos Hachi-roku sounds much cooler than BRZ!!!

Completely agree. I like the interior and exterior on the Toyota. And if I could buy it as a Toyota I would do that without a problem. But a Scion?...I may end up with the Scoobie for that reason alone and end up changing the front end over. Its extremely brand whorey, but I don't care

Since the differences are so minuscule I find it hard to tell the difference between them. I would have to say, neither... Until they get a decent power plant I think I would have to pass. 200 hp and 151 lb/ft tq is weak sauce.

I'm just going to take a guess and assume that there will be a turbo model the year following release, and perhaps then I will bite.

Deciding factor for me... would be.. "What more can I get for my amount of money?" And... if one of them will become a hatch. The one with the hatch will be the deciding factor for me if it were up to the two. Cost omitted.

I don't like Scion's protruding rear lights and I don't like that rear break light (not sure if removable yet).
I like the 86 emblem on the wheel and ontop of the fender.

I don't like Subaru's Upper fender design (looks like a fake vent kinda)
I like subaru's rear and simple yet slightly aggressive look in the front.

Also the.... be called a fake subaru because it isn't AWD (sorry subie fan boys) or a Scion ricing d-bag (No offense to the great scion owners at all. The negatives of scion out-weighs the good drivers)

Here's hoping to a convertible version. But 86 for me because I always found Subies interiors bland and not up to par for my taste.
